Cross Media Publishing for TYPO3 enables users to export TYPO3 content to be processed in InDesign afterwards.
The online data of a product catalog should be used for a print catalog. Due to the design guidelines, the print catalog contains pages, which can not be generated automatically, but have to be typeset in InDesign.
Using CMP3, data from the TYPO3 catalog may be exported to InDesign to be processed there. Due to a template, the data is already formatted to be used by the InDesign editor, who is required to typeset changes only. The final print product can be produced out of InDesign.
Entire TYPO3 page trees are wanted as a print product. Some pages should be designed in a complex way.
First, page trees can be transferred into InDesign using CMP3. The obtained InDesign format will already include style information matching the InDesign style master, so that the postprocessing in InDesign is limited to the complex, not the automatically generated areas.
